Like Opposition to the Philippine-American War, this assessment gauges students’ ability to reason about how evidence supports a historical argument. Students are presented with two documents that provide different perspectives on the women’s liberation movement, and are then asked to explain how each of these disparate accounts both support the same conclusion: that many Americans supported the goals of the women’s liberation movement of the 20th century.
